Welcome to Pinkerella!

Thank you to everyone who is joining us for the 2010 Susan G Komen Race for the Cure. 

I did my first walk in 2008 after my daughter was born and raised $750.  At that time I did not know anyone with breast cancer and simply walked for my daughter's future.  In 2009 I formed Team Billie for my dear friend Billie McKinney who was the only person I knew with breast cancer.  By race day I knew 2 other ladies struggling with the disease.  Today I now know 4 strong, beautiful, courageous women who will beat breast cancer.

I chose the name Pinkerella because as Cinderella did not choose to wait on her stepsisters and stepmother the same as these women did not choose breast cancer.  And as Cinderella, Billie has handled it with beauty and grace and she will survive to live happily ever after with Prince Michael.

Last  year Team Billie raised $6,212.  This year I have set our team goal at $10,000!  With your help this should be an easy goal.
