Welcome to Team Pilgrim Lutheran Preschool!

Pilgrim Lutheran Preschool offers children a place to grow and to be nurtured.  This is what we do.  But we are defined by the women who work there and the families who entrust their children to us.  This is who we are.

The 5 year survival rate has improved from 74% to 99% over the past 25 years, but 1 in 8 women will still be diagnosed with breast cancer and 1in 33 will die from it.  Breast cancer has touched us all one way or another.

I hope you can join us on Saturday April 17th in the Komen Race for the Cure.  Maybe 2010 will be the year that researchers find a cure so that our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will never lose someone they love to breast cancer. 

Last year a record number raced to raise 2.3 million dollars for research and services of which 75% stayed in the Indianapolis area.  The other 25% went to Komen at the national level to fund research.  Indianapolis is the sixth largest race in the nation!

The Power of 10 can change the world!   Please consider asking 10 friends to donate $10 to your race.  If every race participant raised $100, Komen would have $4 million to fund research, education and early detection services for central Indiana women and men. 

It's usually a sunny day.  Some run and some walk (I have to admit I've never seen the runners - they're at the front of the pack and done before we ever start!)  We always have fun.  It's a great people watching event!  If you can't join us, please consider making a pledge in support of one of our teachers.
